About

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Andrey Negrón is a filmmaker and visual storyteller with over 15 years of experience across directing, cinematography, editing, motion graphics, sound design, and color grading.

His passion for film began early, inspired by time spent in TV studios with his father, and later refined through studies in visual arts and filmmaking in Colombia, Rome, and Los Angeles.
In 2013, he created VFX State, a documentary short at USC that captured the struggles of VFX artists during industry protests in Los Angeles. Since then, his work has spanned commercial, nonprofit, and independent projects, earning recognition for his ability to craft mood and meaning through color.

Now based in Los Angeles, Andrey co-founded Beyond Clever, where he leads as Chief Creative and Video Production Director. His philosophy centers on using film and color grading to bring optimism and depth to stories, even when exploring challenging themes.

Currently, he is developing a feature documentary that reexamines outdated views of “third world” nations, highlighting cultural richness and the transformative power of technology and human resilience.
